BHB is here.
Hey everyone, the boys from BHB have some exciting news... We just signed with Morey Management who are an amazing company. They are very excited and fully onboard to rock this machine! They are partners with Azoff Management, who are the biggest in the world of music. Together it should be a fantastic team behind us, and at last we will have some real direction. We will be recording all summer for the big hit... Working with some fantastic producers, it will be a different sound , but a sound that will allow us to perform even more for everyone. We WILL be performing on next seasons show so look out for a memorable performance. Love you all

Last Night
Current mood: thankful
Last night was simply amazing. THANK YOU all so much for coming out in the rain and supporting us. When we first found it was raining we ran over from DWTS and were praying to at least get one song in for you guys, but once we got out there and felt the energy, we went for it and had a BLAST! We hope you all enjoyed the show and enjoyed hearing some of the "Oldies"!!

We liked doing that so much that we are definitely going to do another acoustic show at the Grove before our residency ends. Check back soon for the announcement as to what day we will be doing it

On another note- next weeks show is not one to be missed! We will have Lil Kim performing with us and some very special surprise guests! This show will be a full production and get ready to get your socks blown off!

Even the Los Angeles rain cannot stop the Ballas Hough Band from performing their usual Tuesday night show at the Grove!

Derek Hough, Mark Ballas, and the rest of the band played their entire set for their fans, even though it was pretty wet outside. DWTS pals usually come out to the concert, and such as Tony Dovolani, who came out to support them!

Derek tried to show off to HTV cameras by sliding on the slick pavement from the rain. Derek also informed us right after the taping that David Alan Grier was voted off of this week's show.

What did Mark have to say about the performance? "We had fun!"

Guess that's all that matters Mark!

TODAY IS THE DAY!!
Current mood: ecstatic
WOW! After waiting all of our lives for this moment, it is finally here. Our debut CD "BHB" is in stores TODAY!!!!!! Last night we were rehearsing for our show at the Grove tonight and when the clock struck midnight we all jumped in our cars and drove to Virgin on Hollywood Blvd and bought the CD. It was so cool! Our Managers and our families were there and we bought every copy they had and then took pictures out front (we will post them later).

Please help us spread the word about the CD and make sure you go grab a copy! We love this record and are over the moon right now!

Come to Times Square and shake off the chills at the “Good Morning America” 2009 Winter Concert Series.

Performances in the Winter Concert Series are free and open to the public. Most concerts take place at our Times Square Studio at 43rd St. and Broadway in midtown Manhattan. Entrance to the studio is on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Good Morning America” airs live from 7-9 a.m., with concert performances usually starting around 8:30 a.m.

Viewers interested in attending a free, live performance should arrive at the studio no later than 7 a.m.

BallasHough Band Mixes Concerts with "Dancing" Jaunt

"Dancing with the Stars" pros Mark Ballas and Derek Hough are pulling double duty as they showcase their other talents on the road with their pop-rock quintet, Ballas Hough Band [ tickets ].

The group, which plans to release its debut album in early March, is playing club gigs that coincide with the current "Dancing with the Stars - The Tour". Concert dates launched Dec. 30 and continue tomorrow night (1/9) in Chicago, with more than 20 US cities from coast-to-coast still on the itinerary through mid-February.

Ballas and Hough may be best known as "Dancing with the Stars" champions, but they've been writing and playing music together for 10 years, ever since they both attended a London performing arts school, according to a press release. Their band--which includes the namesakes on vocals and guitars, along with vocalist/keyboardist Emily Grace, bassist Sam Marder and drummer Harry Sullivan--was known as Almost Amy when it formed in 2005. The outfit recently changed its name and scored a label deal with Hollywood Records.

The Ballas Hough Band hit the studio late last year with producers John Fields (Jonas Brothers), Eric Valentine (Maroon 5, Good Charlotte) and Adam & Andy (Jesse McCartney). The group's debut includes original tunes and collaborations with songwriters Dan Wilson, Kevin Kadish and Marty James. A few selections from the forthcoming set are streaming at BHB's MySpace page.

Following the spring season of "Dancing with the Stars," the Ballas Hough Band will embark on a summer tour, according to a press release.

We are so excited today. Our tour is finally under way! We are in Salt Lake City. What a great day so far. We started our day at 6:00 AM visiting radio stations. We did 5 station visits and they played our song on the radio! How cool? We also a TV show on the ABC morning show here in Utah. It has been a whirlwind day so far for us and we are enjoying every single moment. We are at the venue now getting ready to sound check. We play the Murray Theater tonight at 10:30. Hope anybody in the area can make it out tonight. We will be hanging after the show celebrating the beginning of our tour. Hope to see you all soon. We wanted to put out a blanket Blog answering several questions that we get all the time so we don't have to keep repeating the answers:

Q) "I don't see my city on your tour. Will you be going to more cities?"

A)- YES. UNFORTUNATELY, THE DATES POSTED ARE THE ONLY ONES WE ARE DOING ON THIS CURRENT TOUR. DWTS SEASON 8 STARTS IN EARLY FEBRUARY AND WE NEED TO GET BACK TO LA TO START REHEARSALS. HOWEVER, IN LATE MAY WE START A HUGE TOUR THAT WILL LITERALLY HIT EVERY MAJOR MARKET ALL OVER THE COUNTRY!! WE SHOULD ANNOUNCE THE NEW DATES SOMETIME THIS WINTER

Q) "I see that you guys are on MySpace a lot. Is it really you, or someone else?"

A) YES!!! WE ALL HAVE THE PASSWORD AND USERNAME FOR OUR PAGE AND WHENEVER WE GET A CHANCE WE GO ON TO TALK TO YOU GUYS, ANSWER E-MAILS, PUT NEWS UP, ETC.. Q) "Will you have merch for sale soon?"

A) YES! WE ACTUALLY JUST GOT OUR NEW SHIRTS IN THIS WEEK! WE HAVE ONE FOR SALE ON THE DWTS TOUR AND WE WILL BE SELLING MERCH AT ALL OF OUR BHB SHOWS COMING UP! WE ARE WORKING ON OUR NEW WEBSITE AND WILL HAVE A LINK ON THE SITE SO YOU CAN PURCHASE MERCH

Q) "What is the best way to meet you guys?"

Q) "Will you be doing a music video soon?"

Q) "Is Emily Leaving BHB for the All American Rejects?"

A) NO!! SHE IS JUST HAVING FUN AND SINGING WITH THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE A GREAT BAND AND GREAT GUYS. HER FIRST LOVE AND LOYALTY IS TO BHB. HOWEVER, THIS IS GREAT FOR HER CAREER AND WHENEVER THEY WANT HER AND SHE IS FREE, SHE WILL BE SINGING WITH THEM. SHE IS DOING THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH THEM AGAIN ON JANUARY 12TH. MAKE SURE YOU TUNE IN!!

Q) "Are your shows coming up all ages?"

A) DEPENDS ON THE VENUE, BUT MOST OF THEM ARE ALL AGES. THERE ARE A FEW 21+ SHOWS, BUT WE TRIED OUR BEST TO KEEP THEM ALL AGES SO YOU ALL CAN SEE US

Q) "Are all the songs on the record new? Are they all as Pop sounding as "Do It For You"?"

A) NO. WE KEPT A COUPLE OF THE "OLD" ONES THAT YOU ALL KNOW. THEY INCLUDE BIRTHDAY, FALL AND LA (NOW CALLED TOGETHER FAR AWAY). WE ALSO HAVE SOME VERY SPECIAL ACOUSTIC-DRIVEN SONGS ALA ALMOST AMY THAT MADE YOU ALL FANS. THIS RECORD IS VERY SPECIAL AND TOUCHES ON ALL OF OUR MUSICAL INFLUENCES AND TASTES. IF YOU LIKED OUR OLD MUSIC- YOU WILL LOVE THE RECORD. DON'T JUDGE IT BY THE FIRST SINGLE. WE ARE STILL TRUE TO OURSELVES! THE RECORD LABEL DIDN'T "BOY BAND" US OUT GUYS! WE WERE IN THE DRIVERS SEAT ON THE RECORD AND WE LOVE IT!

Weekly Update

Wanted to give everybody a quick update of what we have been up to.

After 2 weeks of 18 hour days, rehearsing first all day for the DWTS Tour and then going to band rehearsals at night, we are finally hitting the road tomorrow for the DWTS Tour!

Yesterday we had a dress rehearsal for "Friends & Family" for the DWTS Tour. We are relieved that we are finally going on the road. This tour is going to be a lot of fun and I hope you all come out to say hello to us when we play with our band in these cities.

On the band front, we finally finished the record! It is incredible. Our photo shoot is done and our first single is now officially "Devastated" and not "Do It For You", as originally planned. Devastated came out so great that we all decided to change to it at the last minute. We are now looking at video treatments and will be shooting a music video before the end of the year. Crazy- huh? That means that our label has to fly us in from one of our DWTS tour stops to be able to do this. Everything is moving so fast it is kind of surreal for us. We can't wait until you guys hear the new songs. We worked very hard on this album and are very proud of it.

This is a very busy week for the band. We have 2 radio appearances-

On the 17th we will be on the radio KHTS Hula 93.3 in San Diego performing a few songs during the morning show "AJ's Playhouse"

On the 18th we will be performing live on K-BIG 104.3 in the morning sometime between 9:00-11:00.

Make sure you guys listen so you can get a sneak preview of our new album.

We will be doing a lot of these radio appearances over the next 6 weeks. In almost every market we perform in on our tour, we will be doing radio. As we know which radio stations we will be visiting, we will post them so you can all listen in!!

Today we board our bus and head to San Diego for the first DWTS tour date. The first show isn't until Tuesday, but we are all heading down today for one more final run through and to get settled.

We have our laptops on the road so we will try our best to respond to e-mails and post new blogs from the road.
